Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented  E-Commerce Accountant  to join our team. As a key player in our remote workforce, you will manage the financial aspects of our online store, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance with tax regulations. Your work will directly support the growth and profitability of our e-commerce operations.

Key Responsibilities:
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the e-commerce business, including sales, expenses, and inventory.
– Reconcile payment gateway transactions (e.g., PayPal, Stripe) with bank accounts and accounting systems.
– Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
– Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
– Conduct financial analysis to track key performance metrics (e.g., revenue, profit margins).
– Manage tax filings, including sales tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
– Collaborate with the operations team to track inventory costs and manage cost of goods sold (COGS).
– Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
– Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.

Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– CPA certification (preferred but not required).
– Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in the e-commerce or retail sector.
– Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce).
– Strong understanding of sales tax regulations and compliance in online sales.
– Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Skills:
– Experience with payment gateways and third-party logistics providers.
– Knowledge of international e-commerce regulations and currency conversions.
– Familiarity with automation tools for financial processes (e.g., Zapier, Avalara).
